Ministry of Labour Appears Before Parliament on Youth Employment Agenda

On Wednesday, 11 February 2026, the Ministry of Labour responded to a summon by the Standing Specialized Committee on Finance and Planning and the Subcommittee on Microeconomic Policy of the TNLA.

The delegation, led by Hon. Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth, Minister of Public Service and Human Resource Development, representing the Minister of Labour, briefed Members of Parliament on labour policy measures, youth empowerment programmes, and job creation plans under the Fiscal Year 2025/2026 budget.

Parliamentary leaders emphasized the urgency of addressing youth and women unemployment, strengthening vocational training, and ensuring labour policies contribute to economic stability and growth in South Sudan.

The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to work with Parliament to empower the youth and build a sustainable national economy.
