MTC Visit

The High-Level Delegation Team led by the Minister of Labour, Hon. Anthony Lino Makana, conducted an inspection visit to Juba Multiservice Training Centre (MTC) to assess and address existing challenges affecting Vocational Training Centres (VTCs) across South Sudan.
During the visit, the Minister assured staff of his commitment to strengthening coordination with development partners and donors to ensure the provision of quality vocational services to citizens.
“My visit to MTC is to acquaint myself with the current situation and ensure that a comprehensive report is submitted to the National Transitional Legislative Assembly (NTLA) and our partners to mobilize the necessary support. During my recent trip to Cairo, I also engaged the Egyptian Minister of Labour on potential collaboration in six key trades,” he stated.
The Undersecretary, Deng Tong Kenjok, emphasized the importance of adopting innovative approaches, including Public-Private Partnership (PPP) programs, to enhance the sustainability and effectiveness of VTCs.
The delegation toured various training departments where they interacted with instructors and trainees. This initiative reflects the Government’s commitment to empowering youth through skills development and strengthening the vocational training sector as a pillar for national development.
